Jay Rouse Obituary

Jay Joel Curtis Rouse HURLWOOD- Jay Joel Curtis Rouse passed away on Dec. 22, 2013. He was born on Jan. 29, 1941 to Lorry Ordrell Jack and Stella Mary Ann (Alldredge) Rouse. Jay has three brothers, Tom Rouse, Gene Rouse and the late Jerald Jerry Rouse, who preceded him in death and whom he missed very much. Jay is survived by his wife, Donna; his son, Curtis; his grandson, Joshua; and his granddaughter, Kaydi; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins; and by his beloved sister-in-law, Irene Stelingis Jimenez. Jay was a contract welder by trade, a darn good one, and a tinkerer by nature. He was a loyal friend and liked recalling his early years in Lubbock, many stories to be told. He described himself as a Yellow Dog Democrat and was very proud to follow his ancestors in his political convictions. Jay liked to say, Laugh and joke every day. We will miss Jay being a part of our daily lives. Cremation services are under direction of George Price Funeral Home.
