Jim Morris
Jim G. Morris Jim G. Morris was born April 15, 1974 in Lubbock, Texas the first son of Jim D. and Helen Morris. He graduated with a BBA in 1997 from Baylor University. He enjoyed working in the financial industry: AIM Funds, Morris Mortgage, Cattleman's National Bank and the Teacher Retirement System of the State of Texas. Jim worked hard so he could play hard. He enjoyed improving his old houses and was an avid hunter. He was a member of Johnson City United Methodist Church. After fighting cancer, and winning a year more than anyone expected, Jim passed away on September 25, 2011. He leaves behind his college sweetheart and wife, Beckie. He is also survived by his daughter, Sarah Rebecca and his brother, Justin Morris and wife April, and their son Mason James. He is survived by his loving parents Jim D. and Helen Morris, and their parents Jim G. and Betty Morris, and Gerald and Wilma Head as well. Many loving aunts, uncles and cousins will greatly miss him too. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City. A memorial service will be held at the Johnson City First United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 1st with a reception following in the Activity Center. There will be a private graveside service at the Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson City Library.
