Joe Nagy Obituary

Joe Howard Nagy, Sr. LUBBOCK- Joe Howard Nagy, Sr., 84, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. He was born Dec. 17, 1928 in Pearsall, Texas. He received a B.S. from Texas A&M University in 1949 and graduated from the University of Texas Law School in 1958. Joe was a trial attorney with Crenshaw, Dupree & Milam of Lubbock, Texas for over 40 years. In 1987 he served as President of the State Bar of Texas. He was also an adjunct professor at the Texas Tech School of Law. He served in the US Army in the Korean War and was honorably discharged after being wounded. Joe Nagy is survived by his wife, Dorothy Fay Shelton Nagy; two children; four grandchildren; and his sister. He chose to donate his body to the TTU School of Medicine. A military service will be held at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to any charitable organization.
