Jordan Watts Obituary

Jordan Blake Watts LUBBOCK-Jordan Blake Watts went to be with his Savior and Lord on Monday, May 13, 2013. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 19 years at 5 p.m. today, May 16, 2013, at the First Baptist Church, 2201 Broadway, in Lubbock. A tribute to Jordan may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family. Jordan Blake was born to Nick and Michelle Watts on July 12, 1993, in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Frenship High School in 2011 and attended South Plains College. A true Renaissance Man, Jordan was a vibrant, creative, and uniquely gifted artist, singer, and songwriter. After winning a national art competition, his paintings traveled to various museums around the United States for over a year. Music and art were not just hobbies he pursed, but were part of his DNA. The subject matter he chose was always thought-provoking and heart-felt. He was passionate about every part of his life, whether it was perfecting each stroke of his brush, each strum of his guitar, or making the perfect cup of coffee from a French Press. He was equally passionate about sharing God's love with the lost wherever he went, especially those around the world. Our lives will never be the same, because we were touched by his. Survivors include his parents, Nick and Michelle; two sisters, Kelsie and Macy Watts; paternal grandparents, Barbara and Bill Gray; maternal grandparents, Harry and Verna Pittam; uncles and aunts, Lance and Susan Halgren, Cindy Watts, and Mark and Karen Jordan. Jordan is also survived by a multitude of family and friends. Memorial contributions are welcome and his family suggests the Jordan Watts Memorial Fund at People's Bank.

I never met Jordan or anyone connected to him, but when I heard about his passing it utterly crushed me. I found his music and it touches me so deeply; I know he loves the Lord and I treasure that he is my brother that one day I will get to meet and make music with. I tangibly feel his absense in the world, but I rejoice in his presence in Heaven.
To his family: my prayers have been and continually are for you.
You are loved and missed, Jordan. We lost so much when we lost you.

When I heard the news from my mother my heart broke. I have known the Watts for just about my entire life, and while we may not see or communicate much, they are still very dear to me.

I will never forget sitting at a thanksgiving banquet when I was still in school at a church and Jordan telling me to draw any three lines. From those three lines, in just two minutes or fewer, he drew a man with a long hat playing the saxophone. It was so well done it could have been done by a professional.

Jordan will be terribly missed. I love you all, Lyndi Jameson.

You will be missed! Will you spend some time with your granddad, Don? He could use some guitar lessons up there. So could I. Love to you both and all the Watts clan. Your aunt Pudgie

Although I only knew Jordan from camp, he held (and will continue to hold) a special place in my heart. His joy, talent, and love for the Lord will be remembered. I know I'll be seeing him again someday. Much love to the entire Watts family. Praying for you all.

Jordan was 5 when he made his entrance into our life. It did not matter how sick he was when he came into the clinic he always had a smile for us.
You will never know how this loss has affected the ones that have taken care of him since he was 5. We are at a loss of words.
We will always remember this sweet boy jumping on the scales to weigh and digging through the toy box. Watching him turn into the man he had become was a true blessing.
Please know that we care and we are right here for you not only today but always!

God Bless the Watts family,
Denise, Dr. Andy Hale & Staff

I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Jordan through Super Summer 7 years ago. He was such a light to everyone that he encountered and I know that he has impacted so many lives. Jordan helped me through several difficult times in my life, and for that I am truly thankful. I can't even begin to imagine how it feels to lose someone that you love, but I trust that the God of all peace will come and comfort your family during this difficult time. As difficult as this time is and as painful as it will be, I pray that you allow God to be glorified through this tragedy. I pray that you will use this tragedy to help and bless others. Praying for you during this difficult time.

Not tomorrow, next week, or even next month- but someday I know I will see a family that is stronger than they ever thought possible. A marriage with a bond like none other. Sisters that never take a day for granted. And a family that longs for heaven more than ever. God knew this day would happen, and I am confident that beauty will come from ashes and be displayed for all to see in your lives. God still has great things in store for each of you!
I love you and am lifting you in prayer today and the days ahead!
