Lubbock- Patsy Lynn O'Neal Roberts left this life to be with her father Andy & her son Vernon on Friday September 1, 2017. Patsy was a natural caregiver who gravitated towards helping others. She was generous with her time and compassionate, always willing to lend a hand or provide a shoulder to cry on. Though her health was at times somewhat restrictive, she did not allow it to hold her back from taking care of those she loved. She was involved as a Girl Scout leader and also involved in nursing as well as child care. She was a dedicated author who self-published six novels. Patsy was our family touchstone and strength when her beloved father Andy became ill. She immediately stepped up to help care for him every single day bringing her smile and positive energy with her. She was just that rare type of person who saw a need, did anything she could to help, no questions asked. Patsy is survived by her mother Marie O'Neal; the loves of her life daughters Ashley Roberts and Amanda Norris; husband Chris Norris; sister Cindy Murray and husband Mark; brother Keith O'Neal and wife Lisa; nieces Christen Murray and Annika O'Neal; nephews Todd and Ryan O'Neal, Steven Murray, and Billy O'Neal; aunt Sharon Barber and husband Jim Barber; as well as many cousins and close friends. She was greatly loved and will be missed. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. The funeral will take place September 7, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with a burial to follow in Dickens.
