Robert Ray Ramirez Sr. LUBBOCK-Funeral service for Robert Ray Ramirez Sr., 44, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with Rev. Frank Garcia officiating. Interment will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Evening prayer service will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at the Chapels with Rev. Raymond Banda officiating. Robert passed away on Sept. 5, 2014. He was born on June 12, 1970, in Lubbock to Hilbert and Alvida (Guerrero) Ramirez. He was an avid Steelers, Notre Dame, and Nascar fan, and his favorite driver was Kyle Bush. Robert enjoyed playing pool and singing karaoke while drinking a couple of beers. His passion in life was his grandchildren and entertaining people with his delicious BBQ. Mr. Ramirez was a concrete finisher for 25 years. Mr. Ramirez is survived by his wife, Irma Sierra; his children, Tommy Rangel, Robert Jr., Stephanie, Alexis, and Richard Ramirez all of Lubbock, Jesse Jr., Mindy, Blanca and Rene Enriquez; he is also survived by his grandchildren, Jay Ryan, Fayth, Zaylee, Zadrian, Meah, Mishea, Karizma, and Aaliyah; his parents; Hilbert and Alvida Ramirez; his siblings, Margie Rodriguez, Lanora Ramirez, Mary Lou Ramirez, Gloria Salazar, Hilda Ramirez, and Tito Ramirez. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hilbert Ramirez Jr.; and a granddaughter, Zaliyah.
