Sissy, today marks 13 years of you gaining your heavenly wings. I miss your physical presence tremendously, but feel your spiritual presence daily. I know you are watching over me while I remain on this earth and that you will be there to welcome me into heaven when my time comes.

Sissy, the last 12 years of not being able to talk to you everyday, go black Friday shopping with you, telling you my deepest secrets, not being able to hug you, celebrate our birthday's together and create new memories with you has not been easy. There have been many days filled with tears and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of you. I am still not able to delete your phone number from my phone, or discard my old answering machine with your voice on it. They say "time heals all wounds", but time hasn't healed the deep void in my heart. I love you. But, I know when the God calls me home, you will be there to welcome me.

To my family I just want to say that whatever you're going through or feeling know that God is there working it all out He had a plan that only included Vera I will miss her smile and the words she told me when my mom passed now she is being hugged by God and welcomed by all the angels praying that God will give us each the strength peace and understanding to make it.
