William Robert Goble

William Robert Goble LUBBOCK-William Robert (Bill) Goble, 75, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on July 5, 2013. Bill was born in Port Jervis, N.Y., on Jan. 11, 1938, to William James and Edith Chidister Goble. He served in the Air Force for 10 years. While stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, N.M., he met and married Dianne Johnston in 1959. They moved to Lubbock in 1965 where Bill sold insurance for Prudential and, later, Alan Henry Insurance. Bill was a member of the 12th Street Church of Christ in Shallowater. He also served as an elder at the Idalou Church of Christ and Parkway Drive Church of Christ. He was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife, Dianne; four daughters: Lisa Arroyo and husband Lemuel, Robin Wilmot and husband Larry, Paula Hanna and husband Wes, all of Lubbock, and Sveltana Crouch and husband John of New Orleans; five grandchildren: Michael Arroyo and Johnathan Anchondo of Lubbock, and Evangeline, Victoria, and Paulina Crouch of New Orleans; and two sisters: Joyce Hulse and Meg Blackwell of West Palm Beach, Fla. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013, at the 12th Street Church of Christ in Shallowater. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
