ANN JERDAN Ann Marie Jerdan, of Las Vegas, was born Dec. 26, 1922, and passed away Oct. 17, 2013. A light has gone from our lives that can never be replaced. Ann Marie left us to soar through the spirit world, just as she had through her life on earth. A remarkable woman with such intelligence, love, motivation and inspiration. She had various careers and excelled in all of them. From a child prodigy pianist, to an educator of the deaf, to a top sell at John Hancock and Mass Mutual, where she was currently employed at 90 years of age. She was preceded in death seven months ago by her adoring husband, Jack, and died of a broken heart. Ann Marie leaves behind many friends, co-workers and family who will miss her contagious positive attitude and kind words; a daughter, Ellen Solomon of New York; son, Frank Santianna Jr. of Las Vegas; daughter Jane Basanda of California; and two grandchildren. She attended Columbia University and Juilliard School of Music. Her hobbies were fashion, music, reading-especially Danielle Steele books and dining with friends. She was an amazing woman who had an amazing life, but that does not lessen the sorrow we have in our hearts since her passing. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Summerlin Hospital for all the care and kindness given to our Mother throughout her final days. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128 In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
