Bertram Bauer

BERTRAM BAUER Bertram Basil Bauer left us peacefully Jan. 2, 2009. He was 79. Bertram was born in Pittsburgh, Aug. 26, 1929. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was also a real estate broker for Helen Herr Real Estate Company, the first real estate company in Las Vegas. Bert also retired from the IBEW Local 357. As a long time resident of Las Vegas, Bert frequented many local lounges and pubs where he had many friends. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Bauer of Henderson; his two daughters, Cathleen Bauer-Chow of Las Vegas, and Amanda Mirjanian of Henderson; a devoted son-in-law, Bobby Chow of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Christopher Chow, Jenny Chow and Chelsea Bauer, all of Las Vegas; and 10 beautiful great-grandchildren. The services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. A celebration of Bert's life will be held right after the services at his favorite lounge Ichabod's, 3300 E. Flamingo Road, #15, Las Vegas, NV., 451-2323, where he was "quality control".
