I would like to give Ms. Derner's family my condolences. I worked with her at the Lake County Public Library for many years. She had great influence with the library services and staff. In my opinion she's one of the reasons why the library is successfully.

Carol was a compassionate, caring, and intelligent Library Director. I will always be grateful for the kindness and goodness she had shown to me at LCPL.
Rest in Peace, lovely Carol.
