Dear Brent and Donna,
I didn't know Carson well, only from the brief time you lived in the ward. And from Donna's comments about him, what a character he was, when we worked together. But I hope the two of you have felt comfort and peace in the years following the accident. I wanted to share a quote I found in a conference talk by L. Todd Budge. He was quoting a 13th century poet. "Sorrow prepares you for joy. It violently sweeps everything out of your house, so that new joy can find space to enter. It shakes the yellow leaves from the bough of your heart, so that fresh, green leaves can grow in their place. It pulls up the rotten roots, so that new roots hidden beneath have room to grow. Whatever sorrow shakes from your heart, far better things will take their place." This would be my wish for you, that you have found joy in the midst of your sorrow. Hope all is well for both of you.

I met Carson some years back at the gym and had many good long talks on life, work, family, etc. it was always good to see him and we alway went out of our way to say hi. Carson was a good man that was making his mark in this world and I will truly miss those talks. He is now watching over his family in a more loving way then can be imagined.
