Daniel Gloss Obituary

Daniel Copper Gloss, was born Oct. 7, 1952, and left us Dec. 5, 2005. He proudly volunteered and served his country in the U.S. Army as a cryptographer and was highly decorated, including the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. His experiences during the Vietnam War seeing the worst of humanity galvanized his spirit to see and brought out the best in those whose lives he touched. After graduating with a degree in business from Cal Poly Pomona, he managed a mobile home park, was a painting contractor, and finally was a field service manager for Hi-Tech Commercial Service in Las Vegas. He was our hero in so many ways. When he was wrong, he would apologize without hesitation and would go to the ends of the earth to defend others and fight for whatever was right. He loved to teach and train all those who wanted to learn. His laughter and booming voice will always be remembered. He was kind, generous and giving. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; two daughters, Michelle Foust and Nicole Henry; and his son, Marek Gloss. He is also survived by his brothers, David and Douglas Gloss; and sisters, Delinda Angelo and Dawn Finch. He has three grandchildren, Jessica, Monica and Dakota Henry. Memorial services were private. He will be laid to rest in the Richfield Cemetery, Richfield, Utah. His family wishes to thank all who knew him for their kindness and generosity. Daniel will always be in our hearts and gravely missed by all who knew and loved him.
