Danny Cagle

DANNY CAGLE Danny Ray Cagle, a.k.a. "Uncle Watermelon," 64, a five-year resident of Las Vegas, and previous longtime resident of Barstow, Calif., entered into rest Wednesday, May 13, 2009. He was born Oct. 19, 1945, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Doc and Geneva Cagle. Danny was a lifetime truck driver, working for many different companies across the country. His hobbies include bowling and NASCAR racing, with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver. He married Mary Ann May 15, 2004. Danny was a loving husband, father and brother and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Keith Fuller. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann of Las Vegas; daughter, Chrisie Weterman of Ohio; stepdaughters, Kristina and Michal Irk of Las Vegas, and Tracy Shifchik of Barstow; brothers, David Cagle and his wife, Beverly, of Bakersfield, Dennis Cagle of Prescott, Ariz., and Dale Cagle and his wife, Ilean, of Barstow; one sister, Carol Sue Livingston of Hinkley, Calif.; sister-in-law, Becky Thompson of Las Vegas; brothers-in-law, Steve Fuller of Las Vegas, Tony Fuller and his wife, Linda, of Barstow, and Floyd Fuller and his wife, Jean, of Lake Mills, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, at Calvary Chapel of Barstow, 412 Avenue "A," Barstow, with interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road, Barstow, CA 92311. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
