FELISA PINGOL Felisa Sese Pingol, retired businesswoman and homemaker, passed away the morning of Oct. 6, 2013, at home, in Henderson. Born April 23, 1925, to Urbano Sese and Pacencia Yumul, in Pampanga, Philippines, she grew up in San Pablo, San Simon, Pampanga. She now joins her favorite dance partner and loving husband, Rico Pingol, who preceded her death. As a mother, she instilled the value of education and ambition. She passed down to the family her passions of cooking, gardening, sewing, dancing and organizing. Felisa spearheaded a team to build a church in her hometown while she managed the family business with relentless energy and drive. Felisa drew this strength from her strong Catholic faith, personified by her generosity and kindness. After immigrating to the United States, she also found a home in New Jersey, Chicago, and San Francisco. She lives on through her children, Emily (Sid), Reeko (Carmen), Elvy (Rick), Edna (John), Edith (Patrick) and Ellaine Pingol, M.D. (Shane); grandchildren, Bernard (Maki), Mark, Audris (Miguel), Kris, Richie, Sean, Julie (Mike), Celine, Megan and Casey; and great-grandchildren, Mikah, Ashlyn, Evan and Preston. She will be missed as a loving and caring mom, our dearest :Mamang," and a doting grandma. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct.14, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights, Henderson. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi, N.J. the following week.
