Harriet Carlson Obituary

Harriet G. Carlson, 87, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006. She was born Harriet G. Ashcraft, March 27, 1918, in Concordia, Kan. Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, of 56 years, Virgil A. Carlson in 1995. She lived in Las Vegas since 1959. A savvy business woman, she and her husband, Virgil, owned Carlson Real Estate Investments. Harriet is survived by her brother, Bill Ashcraft of Grand Junction, Colo.; daughters, Connie J. Inman of Las Vegas, and Linda R. Tracy of Oregon City, Ore; four grandchildren, Lori Waddilove, Lisa Inman and Lana Mayfield, all of Las Vegas, and Steven Ball of Portland, Ore.; seven great-grandchild-ren, Nicholas Joseph, Matthew, Lauren and Marshal Mayfield, all of Las Vegas, James and Christopher Joseph of Detroit, and Elise Ball of Oregon City, Ore.; and many nieces and nephews. Harriet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, with a memorial service to follow, both at Palm Memorial Park-Green Valley, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Family ask that donations be made to American Lung Association.
