Dear Hoot,
You were so much fun, adventurous and I just loved spending time with you. As a young TWA flight attendant I recall the older ladies says to me, Do you know who you've been talking to? That's Hoot Gibson , he's famous here at TWA. I didn't know who you were, I just liked you and we had fun together... I still think about you. You were generous, had a great sense of humor , an infectious laugh and great personality. You were a good man Harvey Hoot Gibson..... I'll never forget you or the time we spent together. RIP good soul ... Wish you were still here so I could talk to you.

Hoot-
The man who built a go cart out of airplane parts and shipped it to me as a little boy. That thing was fast and the brakes went out on nearly every ride. I never got to thank you. May you RIP and fly with the Angels!

Hoot was my cousin! We lived in Paw Paw when I was a child and he would fly over our house and tip his wings. We would run out a wave and jump up and down! In Paw Paw so many years ago that was and event!! My Mother and Arlene were sisters.

Hoot, Being in the Sheriff's Air Squadron with my Dad, you were a guest in my parents home for longer than I can remember. I remember when you took Alan (God rest his soul) and I for a ride in your airplane when the Squadron did an overnighter in Utah with tents and all. We even had a generator to watch home movies under the stars. You were one of the best pilots my Dad knew and you loved flying as much as he and my Mom. You are flying high now, so catch up with my Dad and Alan.

Hoot was a very good friend and knew him back in the "Schiller Park, IL" days - I think they call that the "good old days"!!
Hoot was in my wedding in 1967, and didn't see him much since I moved to Colorado then.
However, we kept in touch. He came to Colorado for my daughter's wedding in June 1995. Hoot never changed - he was always a fun-loving guy and a good friend. He also knew I stood by him in all his travails with TWA. He was definitely one of a kind.

Hoot, a former TWA pilot, and his lady, Lois, were two persons that I, and my sweetie, Glenda, enjoyed visiting whenever we flew a plane into Las Vegas. I will miss Hoot, miss my Glenda, who passed away, and will miss seeing Lois.
