HOYT PELT

HOYT PELT Hoyt Andrew Pelt, of Las Vegas, passed away June 17, 2013, at Nathan Adelson Memorial Hospice, at age 86. He was born in Plainview, Ark., July 4, 1926, the son of James and Cora Pelt. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Letha. He had no children and leaves behind his good friend, Doug Pushard; and significant other, Inez Halby. He was a meat cutter by trade and worked at Las Vegas supermarkets until retirement. Hoyt and Letha were charter members of the Las Vegas B-Sharp Square Dance Club and were on the board of directors for many years, enjoying the sociability of square dancing. After Letha's passing, Hoyt and Inez Halby enjoyed ballroom dancing, square dancing and traveling for the past 15 years. Graveside services are pending at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City. Hoyt enjoyed watching PBS and for those who care to make a donation in his name, send to Las Vegas PBS or Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation.
