Irene Harris

IRENE HARRIS Irene Joy Harris, 82, of La Costa, Calif., passed away Dec. 28, 2007. She was born Oct. 20, 1925, in London. Irene was in show business and modeled in the 1940s and 50s throughout Europe and Mexico. She settled in Las Vegas in the late 70s with her second husband, Bud Harris, where she was president of the Desert Inn ladies golf club and president of "The Daughters of the British Empire." Irene's passions were music, dancing, travel, tennis and golf. She worked retail in fashion and jewelry until 2001. She was preceded in death by her second husband, C.T. "Bud" Harris. Irene is survived by her first husband, Alex Bruce of England; and daughter, Jennifer Winston of La Costa, Calif. Services were held in St. Andrew's Church of Encinitas, Calif., in January.
