Jacquelin Maha Obituary
Jacquelin Maha, 87, a Las Vegas resident of twenty-three years, passed away due to bowel obstruction on September 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Douglas Maha. She is survived by daughters, Debbie Maha Bozek (and husband Rich), Alison Maha, Carrie Maha, and Felicia Maha Stiles (and husband Dan), six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. A native northern Californian, Jacquelin met and married the man of her dreams, Douglas. Jacquelin greatest passion was her family. In her husband's business career, she was the wind beneath his wings; an elegant and charming hostess entertaining business associates and a vivacious team member working trade shows with him. Jacquelin was a radiant woman accomplished in many areas and was always giving back to her communities. Volunteer activities over her life included: work with the Davis School District assisting with the local migrant children, an officer in the Davis Republican Women's Club, nursing home visitor, and in Montana she was a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound as well as a finish line "hugger" at the Montana Special Olympics. Jacquelin had a life-long love of fitness and coordinated Weight lifting and fitness of Nevada Senior Olympics. She and Douglas were highlighted in the Las Vegas Lifestyle Magazine (Summer 1999) as a power couple winning numerous medals in the Nevada Senior Olympics. Jacquelin was a talented artist and found great joy in painting classes after her husbands death. Jacquelin was an adored and cherised wife, mother, and grandmother. She is known by all for her positive spirit, vitality and kind-heartedness. This selfless, beautiful woman lived life to the fullest and relished her friends, family and activities up to the end of her life. Funeral celebrating Jacquelin's life will be Saturday, September 30 at 10:00a.m. at St John Neumann Catholic Church in Las Vegas.
