Jan Humble

JAN HUMBLE Jan Humble, 71, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2007. A Las Vegas resident for the past five years, Jan was born in Topeka, Kan., Sept. 11, 1936. Jan owned a child day care in California for many years before moving to Las Vegas. She enjoyed living in Las Vegas and was an avid gambler and bowler. One of her great passions in life was playing Bunko with her friends. Jan is survived by her husband, of 51 years, Gerald of Las Vegas; her sons, Steve of Las Vegas, and Scott of Seaside, Calif.; her daughter, Stephanie Heston of Salinas, Calif.; her sister, Carol Long of Las Vegas; and her brother, Fred Miller Jr. of Burlington, Kan. Three grandchildren, Justin, Jessica and Kaeline; and two great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Destiny, survive her as well. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., with burial to follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
