Janet Lambertson Hammer

JANET HAMMER Janet Lambertson Hammer, 92, passed away Dec. 14, 2013, at Odyssey House Hospice, Las Vegas. She was born in Robertsville, N.J., and was a graduate of Rahway High School, class of 1940. She retired from AT&T Stock and Bond Division. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 66 years, Edward. Janet and Ed moved to Nevada after Janet lost her sight in 2007. She was an amazing person who never gave up. She enjoyed Wii Bowling, Bingo, anagrams and many other activities. She took great pride in being able to do so much for herself. She was an inspiration to everyone and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children, Janis Ladanyi of Vancouver, Wash., Edward (Lori) of New Jersey, Joyce Muir (James) of Henderson, and Thomas (Sue) of Kentucky; seven grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
