JARED MEDINA June 22, 1992-Jan. 5, 2017 Jared Medina, 24 years of age, passed away Jan. 5, 2017, at Lexington St. and Lawry Ave., in Las Vegas. He was born June 22, 1992, in Ventura County, Calif. Jared attended Chaparral High School. His passion was his music. He loved dancing, singing and playing instruments such as guitar, piano, bass and his drums. His idols where Travis Barker and Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. Jared was the drummer of a local Las Vegas band "The Offcolor." He shared his passion and love for music with his sister, Saivi Lara, guitarist of his band. Jared's dream was to be a famous musician. Jared will be missed and never forgotten. Jared loved people and loved meeting new people every day. He was a great listener and always cared for people, he never judged anyone for how they looked even their mistakes. He treated everyone like family. Now his memory will live on from the music we hear, from the songs he wrote, from the wise words he gave, when we laugh and when we smile, Jared will always be in our hearts. He left behind his mother, Saida Maldonado; his brother, Justin Medina; sister, Saivi Lara; friends; two-year old daughter, Aila L. Medina; and adopted grandmother, Kathi Moreno Jared's funeral will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at La Paloma Funeral Services, 5450 Stephanie St., Suite 110.
