John Nicholls

JOHN NICHOLLS John A. Nicholls, 83, of North Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 2, 2009. He was born June 26, 1926, in Tooele, Utah, and was a four-year resident of Nevada. He graduated from the dental school at the University of Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, in 1950. John served as a dentist for 25 months in the U.S. Air Force and for 42 years in Whittier, Calif. A lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in many callings, including as a bishop in Whittier. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Selma; and brother, Byron. John is survived by his wife, Jeanne; children, Gregg and Cheryl, Jeffrey and Michele and Alan and Cindi; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen; and nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
