John Vilches

JOHN VILCHES John R. Vilches, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Anni, Oct. 5, 2011. He was born in Manhattan, N.Y., Jan. 28, 1931, and proudly served on the New York City Police force prior to his retirement. He was also a dealer in several Las Vegas casinos. He was a true friend to all who knew him well, and he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. In spite of his physical limitations, he travelled and enjoyed life to the fullest. His parents came to America from Spain and he was the youngest of five children. He was survived by his precious wife, Anni; sisters, Theresa and Mary; and brother, Pepe. There will be a "celebration of his life" with family and friends at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Cactus Ridge Community Clubhouse, 2700 W. Richmar Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
