Dear Lu,
Throughout 20 years of friendship, we carried on a tradition of sending one another thank you notes for reasons/occasions big and small. It's inconceivable that this is my last to you, my friend, but here goes.
Your friendship has blessed me and will continue to do so for the remainder of my life. Thank you for your thoughtful advice, support and encouragement in times both good and bad. You really listened, Lu, and you remembered. I hope and pray that I did the same for you. Most of all, I thank you for the countless times we sat at my kitchen table or on the patio, shared a martini (or two), and cackled like hens. Oh, how we laughed!
Witnessing your spirit transition to Heaven, although amongst the most difficult things I'll ever do, was an honor and a privilege. How I will miss you, my beloved friend, until we meet again where, as we have been promised, "In my Father's house are many rooms."
I love you, Luanne!
XO,
Q
