Nellie Cornwell Obituary

NELLIE CORNWELL Nellie Belle Vosper Cornwell, 96, of Lacy, Wash., passed away Jan. 5, 2011. She was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Centralia, Wash., and was a 33-year resident of Nevada. Nellie was a beautician and beauty consultant in Seattle, and then Las Vegas. She married O.S. Ed Cornwell in 1939 in Lewiston, Idaho, and lived in Las Vegas from 1950 1983. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1978, and by a brother, Bill Vosper in 2010. Nellie is survived by her daughter, Janet (Edward) Wagley; brother, James Vosper; grandchildren, Laurie (Kirk) Jarman, James (Debbie) Wagley and Edward (Leah) Wagley; eight great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at the LDS Church, 3800 Henderson Blvd. SE, Olympia, WA 09501. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

Nellie was such a pleasant, optimistic person/volunteer at the hospital. I met her when I worked there as a nurse. I remember she did a lot of crocheting and I bought one of her afghans. Whenever I see it, I think about her and her cheerful countenance.
Sincere sympathy for Janet Wagley and her family in the loss of Nellie.
