NELLIE RICHARDS Heaven reclaimed an Angel as Nellie Patricia Richards, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Jan. 17, 2015, with her family at her side. She was born March 17, 1926, in Homestead, Pa., and was a 35-year resident of Las Vegas. She worked for and retired from the Hilton Hotel. Over the years, Nellie touched many people with her kind, loving and fun heart. She loved three things most in life, family, Irish heritage and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Strong. Nellie is survived by her daughters, Roberta Rock and Patricia Richards; son, Richard A. Richards; grandsons, Robert (Sylvia) Strong and Daniel Rock; granddaughters, Sheree (Tom) Kapics and Melissa (Aaron) Barton; and great-grandchildren, Gianna, Patrick, Dillon, Collin, Camryn, Logan and Alora. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary, Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. To honor Nellie, a celebration of her life will follow at 5 p.m. at Tap House, 5589 W. Charleston Blvd.

Mama, I will miss you more than words can say, my children are heartbroken. I remember the last time we saw you, you insisted on walking us out. We begged you to stay put you said, "it may be the last time I see you." You walked to the end of you walkway, and waved. I had to have Patrick walk you back in. Although you tried to prepare us, your loss has been torture, and its pulverizing. You were bewitching, magntic, and mesmerising, and your presensence commmanded attention.
