Paul Holm

PAUL HOLM Paul Alexander Holm, originally of St. Louis, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007, to return to our Heavenly Father. He leaves behind his wife, Karen Holm of 23 years; and their three children Alicia, Paulina and Lily; also daughters, Ashley Holm of Los Angeles, and Sherry Gilboy; one grandchild, Annika Gilboy, both of Playa Del Rey, Calif.; his sister, Marilyn Ells of St. Louis; brothers, Lambert Holm of Valdosta, Ga., and Roger Holm of Williamsville, Mo. Paul was a producer of many high profile events beginning in S. Florida, where he owned a yacht and tennis club, called Le Club International, that several celebrities frequented. He was first to privately charter the Concorde jet transporting his club members to the Cannes Film Festival to attend the premiere of his movie he produced - "The Great Balloon Race." Paul was active in the Las Vegas community as founder of The Social Register of Las Vegas working with several local charities, including Nevada Opera Theater, of which he was a board member. Some of his career highlights include "The Placido Domingo Paddle Classic" in Las Vegas, "Maxim's de Paris Pro-Celeb Hot Air Balloon Race" hosted by John Travolta in Palm Springs, Calif., and "The Cliff Robertson Celebrity Pro-Am Golf & Tennis Extravaganza" in Fisher Island, Fla. Paul was an avid tennis player, greatly enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for life. He will truly be missed by all. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at Green Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 1799 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson.
