Richard Savard Obituary

Richard Joseph Savard, 43, a Lowell, Mass., native, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, in Las Vegas. He worked in sales in Las Vegas. He was the friend, soulmate and husband of Darlene Savard. He was born in Lowell, Mass., April 26, 1962, a son of the late Leo J. and Ann (Supernor) Savard. Richard lived in several states before settling in Las Vegas in 2003. Richard was a fan of the New England Patriots and had a strong passion for animals. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepdaughters, Savannah Christman and Ashley LaCourse of Las Vegas; three stepsons, Matthew Christman and Christopher Christman of Las Vegas and Raymond Robarge of Lowell, Mass.; two sisters, Theresa Cho of Lowell, Mass., and Ann Marie "Babe" Savard and husband, Peter Riva of New Bedford, Mass.; three brothers, Leo Savard, Donald Savard and Robert Savard and wife, Dorothy, all of Lowell, Mass.; two stepsisters, Lisa and Deborah Savard of Lowell, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Samuel Feller of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews. He also was the brother of the late Nancy Durand and Brenda Feller. Richard also leaves behind his dear and beloved dog, Sheba, bird, Prince, monkey, Maxi. Visitation will be from 2:30-4:30 p.m. with services to follow, both at Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road.
