RONALD MEYER Obituary

RONALD E. MEYER Ronald E. Meyer, over 50 year resident of Las Vegas, left this world Saturday, August 25, 2018. Ronnie was born January 6, 1944, in South bend, Indiana. Ronnie grew up in Tucson, AZ, worked at Harrah's in Reno, a casino in Athens, Greece, returned to the U.S. and chose Las Vegas as his permanent home. He dealt craps at the Bonanza, Dunes, MGM, and taught at the Nevada School of Dealing. Ronnie was a very talented craftsman, photographer, artist and free spirit. He loved to cook and visit with family and friends. He was an avid boxing and sports fan, loved to garden and travel. The courage and strength he exhibited throughout his final earthbound days was astonishing. Throughout each day, his sense of humor never diminished. He is survived by two sisters; step-daughter; many nieces and nephews; caring cousins; and a large family of faithful friends. Rest in peace dear Ronnie. Safe forever in God's loving arms. You are loved here and in heaven. You are missed. Until we meet again... Memorial service will be in the near future at Ronnie's home.

I find it hard to believe that my uncle is really gone.I didn't get the chance to tell him how much that I loved him and how much of an impact he had on my life since I was child.I always looked forward and hoped that I would get to go to Las Vegas and stay the summer with him,and did quit frequently. He was working most of the time ,but it was just fun to be there. We would sit and watch airplanes and try and guess what type of plans it would be.I have had some of the best memories of my life with him and the Sunset rd.house. The things he taught me and the places we have been together I will cherish forever especially the Baja trips. I love you Uncle and miss you too! R.I.P until we meet again Paul

Ronnie was a true pal, confidante, and my copilot during those crazy and hectic years at the old Dunes Hotel. Save me a seat, Ronnie. I'll see you again someday.

I was a classmate of Ronnie's at Amphitheater High School in Tucson, Arizona, Class of 1961. We were good friends and I had the pleasure of playing Penny Ante Poker with Ronnie. Ronnie visited Tucson last December and a group of 15-20 of our classmates got together for lunch at a local Mexican Restaurant. Ronnie you will surely be missed by your relatives and many friends. Rest in Peace my friend. May Gid Bless You. Your Friend, Billy Frede

Ronnie was a great guy. He danced to his own tune and you've got to love him for that. He will be missed. RIP Ronnie.
