STEVE MARTIN Obituary

STEVE MARTIN Steve Martin, 71, passed away May 28, 2017, at home, after battling pancreatic cancer, caused when he was exposed to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. Steve was a very proud U.S. Army veteran, and was patriotic and loyal all of his life. He was born June 15, 1945, in Mansfield, Ohio, and moved to Las Vegas in 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Martin and Alta Martin Berger. Steve is survived by his wife, of 48 years, Betsy; son, Eric of Florida; daughter, Stacey Smith (fiance, John Frank) of Las Vegas; sisters, Linda Palmisano of Savannah, Ohio, and Cheryl Simpson of Savannah, Ga.; four grandchildren, Kaley and Brandon Martin of Ohio, and Stephanie and Zachary Smith of Las Vegas; and two great-grandchildren. A full military and honor guard memorial service will be at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City. Donations may be made in his name to Red, White and Blue Dog Training, 7790 Mount Angel Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89123, which provides free service dogs and training to veterans with PTSD.

Betsy,
My condolences to you and the family for Steve's passing. I have not seen you or Steven for many years but I
still have family recollections as I am
a cousin to Steve and his sisters. My
mother, Hazel, was Ralph's oldest sister.
