Susan Bedson Obituary

SUSAN BEDSON Susan Ruth "Sue" Bedson, of Las Vegas, passed away March 8, 2008. Sue was born Oct. 7, 1943, in New York. She grew up in New Port Richey, Fla., attended Pierce Elementary School and graduated from Gulf High School. She was the daughter of Charles R. and Ruth E. (Conklin) Trufant. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Edward; her son, Steven R.; and her parents. Sue is survived by her sons, Dean E. and James E., both of Las Vegas; daughters, Brooke S. of Las Vegas and Rita A. Goluba of New Port Richey; her grandchildren, Ryan J., Lexi B., and Natalie B. Dominguez, Natalie P. Ciper, Robert L. Goluba, Jillian E. Borders, and Jennifer Bedson; her brothers, Kenneth C. of Aripeka, Fla., and John E. of Long Beach, Ind.; her double first cousins, Roy R. Conklin of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Edward A. Conklin of Inglis, Fla., and Lynn D. LoCacio of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and her caring cousin, Joan Schiralli of Las Vegas. Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, devoted to her family while managing the family's business enterprises from home. Her deep dedication to her birth and married families was exemplified in the complete genealogies that she compiled for both and the extensive collection of historical family photographs that she so attentively catalogued. Through these efforts, she was a friend to extended relations throughout the country. The funeral service and interment will occur at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15, at North Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4244 Madison St. in New Port Richey, Fla. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the St. Labre Indian School, P.O. Box 216, Ashland, MT 59003, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101.
