I worked for Ty for several years. He took his associates to lunch every day we were in the office! He loved animals and a cat named "Red" lived in the office. Ty was a very learned man and also very kind. He never stopped learning or working. God bless and love to Mercedes.

So sad to learn of Ty's passing. He was the dean of public transportation attorneys during the chaotic days of taxicab wars and limousine expansions. For many years he was counsel to Bell Trans and ably represented their interests through these tumultuous times. Ty's calm demeanor and incisive intellect made him a formidable foe in contested hearings. I enjoyed every minute spent with him and learned a lot about public agency representation. He was a model for ethics and decency. Of course, he will be missed by his colleagues and friends, but most especially by his devoted and caring wife, Mercedes. Would we all have such a protective and loving partner in our lives.

Ty was a great help to me at a time I really needed his advice and I'll miss him!
He was a fine gentleman, a quietly competent professional, and certainly lived the Rotary 4-Way Test.
