VICTORIA FARRAR Obituary

VICTORIA FARRAR Victoria Nott "Vickie" Farrar, of Henderson, left us too soon Aug. 19, 2013, at the age of 61. Vickie was a bright, warm, supportive and loving sister, friend, cousin and aunt. She lived a rich full life of love, rainbows and adventure. Vickie leaves a legacy of "paying it forward." Vickie was a devoted "Mom" to her dog, Augie. She loved hiking with her buddies and the dogs, photography, reading and anything to do with books, The Beatles, gardening and collecting. She was born in Norwalk, Connecticut in 1952 and the family moved to California in 1955. She settled in Las Vegas, embraced the western vistas and lived a wonderful life. She was a vibrant person with extraordinary kindness and caring, and enriched the lives of everyone she was close with. She is survived by her sisters, Jennifer, Polly and Connie; nieces; nephews; a large extended family; and a network of generous friends. She will be missed. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. Memorial donations may be made to the Henderson Public Library, Wounded Warriors, Yoko Ono's Spirit Foundation or the Nevada SPCA.

Fond memories of Vicki and forever grateful for her friendship with Rozanna. So sad they are not still with us.

I met Vickie many years ago when my sister and her sister Jennifer were close friends. I remember her as being witty, having a great sense of humor, being very down to earth, kind and approachable, and a good listener...a lot like her sister. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed for sure.
Love to Jennifer and to the rest of the family, Andrea Reep Provenzale

I met Vicki many years ago in Las Vegas. She was my sister Rozanna's best friend. She and Rozanna were the only guests at our Vegas wedding. I remember her laughter and her smile and her magical house, and her precious Augie, but I remember most of all her unbounded generosity and support while my sister was dying. She was a rock, always with a smile and encouraging words and I know Rozanna loved her friend. It was with great shock and sadness that I heard, this morning of the passing of Vicki. I am in her debt for what she did for Rozanna. My heart goes out to her family and I understand and share the pain you must be feeling for the loss of Vicki. I was very touched that you included Rozanna's photo in Vicki's photo gallery. My thoughts are with you today as you send Vicki out into the universe. Helena Tremblay (Naughton, ON., Canada)

Our Vickie was so intelligent, witty and generous. We cry because she is gone, but smile because she lived.

Our compassionate prayers extend to all as we recall our memories of Vicki Bean, the laughs, the meals shared, her competitive spirit at the game of scrabble - as we see her now in the arms of the Angels.
