I was truly sadden to hear about the passing of my beloved 1st cousin Willie Davis. My son and I recently met Willie and Emma about four years ago. He was my father's 1st cousin. The short time my son and I spent with him, Emma,Daryl, and his family were heart felt. Upon introduction, Willie and I had instant adoration and love for one another. Willie possesed the infamous "Davis smile." Both my son and I send deep condolences to the family, and want them to know how deeply affected we are by his passing, but rejoice in knowing he was a committed servant for God. We send our love to Emma, Daryl and his family. May my cousin rest in peace!!!

Precious memories of Pastor Willie Davis are treasured deep within my heart. I give honor and praises to a mighty God, for allowing me the opportunity to have known such a great man, pastor, preacher, teacher, visionary, friend, and a true fighter on the battlefield. My heart is sadden by his departure, but my soul is rejoicing in knowing that Pastor Davis has a better home. I am in continuous prayer for the family and friends. My pastor and my dear friend is now at rest.

At this critical hour of life, a prince of preachers has fallen from the ranks to be with the most high God!Pastor Davis will be tremendously missed by all whose lives were touched with his ministry. He was truly a visionary, renown, and legendary preacher for this age. He loved preachers, pastors, the congregation, and with most certainty, the Word of God. He was a blessed man that led many to Christ in his generation. I thank God for his annointing and obedience to the call of Christ at such a time as this! I bid his family God's peace, fulfillment, love, and blessings always, in Christ name!

My husband and I live in Lexington, KY; however, we spend about three weeks in Las Vegas each year. Once many years ago one of our visits included being in the city on Easter Sunday. After looking in the phone book to find a church to attend for this religious holiday, we decided to worship at Second Baptist. This was the first of many blessings that we received through Rev. Davis' sermons and song.

Last year we attended three Sunday services at Gethsemani. Ironically our visit coincided with the pastor's return to the pulpit after having been ill. Although he was still recovering, his message was powerful.

We will certainly miss Rev. Davis when we return to Las Vegas in July.
