Andrew Deppner Obituary

Andrew Julius Deppner, of Harrison Township, passed away on May 8,2011 after a long illness. Known by family and friends as Andy. He retired as chief mechanic for the East Detroit(Pointe) Police department in 1983.Andy is also a veteran of the Navy during WWII. Beloved husband of 64 years to Elizabeth Deppner. Dear father of Beth Deppner-Weninger and Bruce Deppner. Loving brother of Henry (Barbara) Deppner,Elizabeth Ciavattone and adored grandfather of Andrew(Rebecca); Shane;Angela (Keith). Andrew is also survived by four great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. No services will be held at Andy's request.A private memorial for immediate family and friends will be held. Cremation by Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 North Gratiot Avenue, Mt.Clemens, Mich 48043

Betty & Family, I am Saddened by your loss. Memories of Andy will always be with me. His sound advice, his friendship and the time just the two of us went camping/fishing while I was home on Leave from the Marine Corps. I know that GOD has his arm open for Andy.

I will remember Andy as a wonderful neighbor and a sweet man. When we would talk he always had a way of making you smile and had a positive attitude about everything. I will miss him. Darlene Layman, Meadow Creek Condos.
