Bonnie Jill Bader Gray, age 84, of Pontiac, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12, 2021. She was born on June 16, 1937 in Detroit to Earl and Lucille Gray. Bonnie became a professional dancer and dance instructor. She graduated from Macomb County Junior College as salutatirian, and from Oakland University with a degree in teaching with a Masters in reading. Bonnie supervised the dance programs at Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation Department. Bonnie became a Special Education teacher at Genesee Intermediate School in Flint and was beloved by all the students at her school. She collaborated with the music therapist and friend, Thomas Cawood, producing and directing all the student musical performance. Bonnie formed and directed a performing marching baton core. She loved teaching and performing dance, recreational volleyball, downhill skiing, dirt bike riding and motorcycle camping trips. Bonnie was a remarkable woman. She is survived by her son, Gary Norfleet, and former husbands, Gene Norfleet and James Bader. Preceded in death by sons, Byan and Jeffrey Norfleet.
