Christine Salyer Bledsoe, a longtime resident of Warren, Michigan, passed away peacefully Tuesday March 12, 2013 at Troy Beaumont Hospital. Born in Elkhorn City, Kentucky January 28, 1934 to William and Maudie Elizabeth Salyer, Christine was a devout Christian, loved good food and socializing. Her family brought her much pride and was her greatest accomplishment. Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Lee Bledsoe. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Martin of Talking Rock, Ga. and Nettie Sexton of Johnson City, Tenn.; daughters, Susan (Gregory) Misterovich of Birmingham, Mich., Sheila (James) Ciaramitaro of Chesterfield, Mich., Jennifer (Terry) Smith of Warren, Mich.; grandchildren, Nicole Girken, Shelby Ciaramitaro, Brianna Smith, Elizabeth Smith; great-grandchildren, Daniel and James Girken; caregiver, Monica Lynn Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation Sunday March 17, 2013, 2-9 p.m. at Verheyden Funeral Home, 28499 Schoenherr, Warren, Mich. 48088. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 11071 East Eleven Mile Road Warren, Mich. 48093, with Pastor Tracy Herald presiding. Christine will be instate at the Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine Bledsoe's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association
