Abratowski, Edward Age 80, of Sterling Heights, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2017. Beloved husband of Christine for 60 years. Devoted father of Edward and Laura (Thomas) Calcutta. Loving grandfather of Benjamin Calcutta. He is survived by his brother Robert (Ann), sisters Barbara (Robert) Shaner and Geri Till, and brothers-in-law Bernie (Lynette) Masztakowski and Fred Masters. Always the fun uncle of many nieces and nephews. He had a passion for golf and will be missed by numerous friends and golf buddies. He was retired from Chrysler Corporation after 45 years of service. It was Ed’s wish that he be cremated and remembered as the vibrant and energetic man he was. Per his request, there will be no service. The family wishes to thank the staff of Henry Ford Hospice for their compassionate care; memorial contributions may be sent to them at 33464 Schoenherr Rd. Ste 140, Sterling Heights, MI. 48312.

Christine, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Ed. I send you my deepest condolences.
I remember that you and Ed were high school sweethearts. You were one of my best friends in high school and part of grade school. Your father drove us to the movies almost every Sunday. I stood up to your wedding. For some reason we lost touch with each other.
I know your heart is very sad now-- you are in my thoughts and prayers.
