Elliot Kramer

Elliot Kramer, 72, passed away on August 5, 2022. A Detroit native, Elliot practiced law in Michigan for over 40 years. Elliot graduated from Mumford High School in 1967. He attended Wayne State University for both undergrad and law school. He also proudly served in the Michigan National Guard. Elliot was admitted to the practice of law in 1975. He began his legal career working at the law firm of Leib & Leib in Southfield, with his uncles and cousin, attorney Jeffrey Leib. As a solo practitioner, Elliot handled nearly every type of case, including criminal defense, family matters, and civil litigation. In recent years, Elliot mentored his nephew, attorney Jack Kramer, who has carried on the practice of law under the Kramer name. Elliot was well respected by lawyers, judges, and prosecutors for his extensive knowledge, experience, and his reasonableness. Clients loved Elliot for his easy-going and laid-back demeanor. Elliot counseled clients with wisdom and humor, and cherished the relationships that he built with clients and their families over the years. Elliot will be remembered as a man who dedicated his life to helping others. He loved sharing meals with friends and family, and his quick wit and humor brightened every occasion.
