Norlin Jr., Henry “Hank” Erickson, age 78 formerly of Harrison Township, MI, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016. He was born July 28, 1937 in Holland, MI., the son of Henry and Leah (Luce) Norlin. Hank graduated from Mishawaka High, IN. and was a graduate of the University of Michigan. Hank served in the USMC. He is survived by Betty, his wife of 40 years, and children, Suzanne (John) Hoekstra of Portland, ME, John (Wendy) Norlin of Washington, IL, Gary (Holly) Cieslak of Hermitage, PA, Mark (Tracy) Cieslak of Troy, MI., Cynthia (Tom Henneberry) Cieslak of Clinton Township, MI. and Joe Cieslak of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. Hank was predeceased by son Henry “Erick” Norlin III, sister Betty (Stan) Goss, brother Ron Norlin and his parents. Hank worked for many years as a Sales Rep for various firms in the automotive industry. Hank was very involved with the Masonic Organizations. He is a member of Mt. Clemens Lodge #6 F&AM, served as Master at Romeo Lodge #41 F&AM and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He is a member of the Detroit Moslem Shrine, was a member of the Shrine Yacht Club, the Mystic Magicians and a member of the Past Masters Unit. Hank was also on the Board of Directors of the Shrine Hospital in Erie, PA. The visitation will be held May 5, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. at Roth-Muir Funeral Home, 296 S. Main St., Romeo, MI 48065 with funeral service at 7 p.m., Shrine walk through at 7:15 and Masonic Memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations can be made in Hank’s name to the Shrine Children’s Hospital - Erie, 1645 West 8th St. Erie, PA 16505.
