Lucile Demanski Obituary
Beloved wife of Gregory and mother of Laura.
A passionate and creative educator, she taught elementary school, including gifted and talented students, for nearly 40 years in Warren Consolidated Schools. Lucile was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa international women teachers' organization, serving as president of her local chapter and on the Michigan ADK board. She treasured her family above everything and was a great friend to her pets and to other animals, keeping the neighborhood birds and squirrels generously fed. She considered northwestern Michigan and Leelanau County her spiritual home and traveled there each year with Greg and Laura. Sister of Linda and Joseph A. Sirko, aunt of Richard Ferranti and Debbie Rottier (Steve), she was preceded in death by her mother, Sophie (Pupkiewicz) Sirko, and father, Joseph Sirko.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 3-8pm at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., 36900 Schoenherr Rd at Metro Parkway (16 Mile).
