Millie Millar Obituary

Millie Millar, age 90, formerly of St. Clair Shores, died on December 2, 2011 in Oakland County. She was born on April 21, 1921. She was a lifelong member of the Bruce Post #1146 VFW Woman's Auxiliary and the M.O.C. Pup tent # 35. Millie and her late husband, John were also clowns going by the names of Slappy and Happy, the Slap Happy couple. They dedicated their lives to making others smile. Mrs. Millar was preceded in death by her husband John in 2000. She is survived by her children, Ann Double, Roy (Rose) Castle, Bob Castle, Bill (Carol) Millar, Jack (Karen) Millar and Marilyn Cullinan. She was the cherished grandmother of 23, great-grandmother of 36 and great-great-grandmother of three. Visitation will be held Wednesday 3-9 p.m. at the Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores. Services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday. Inurnment Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Toys for Tots or the Humane Society. Kaulfuneralhome.com
