Patricia A. Brewer (Kellar) was born to the late Dorothy and Clarence Kellar on December 30, 1934, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Pat graduated president of her senior class at Fraser High School in 1953. Her dream was to be a nurse. She pursued her nursing education at St. Joseph School of Practical Nursing in Mt. Clemens in 1955. She married Jake H. Brewer on September 10, 1955, they started a family in Roseville, Michigan and later moved to Sterling Heights. On September 10th,2021 they would have celebrated 66 years of marriage. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital East and eventually continued schooling and obtained her Registered Nurse License. She worked as a nurse for over 60 years, she shared her care and compassion between St. Joseph Hospital Emergency Room and Ford Motor Company as an occupational nurse. On Tuesday August 24,2021 our mother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children just a short 3 months after our father passed. She is survived by her 5 children: Steven(Paty) Brewer, John Brewer, Teri (George) Mabie, Glenn Brewer, and Todd (Beverly) Brewer. Also survived by her 8 loving grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren and her very special nieces Nancy Kahkola, Janice Denys, and Michele Schaller. She was proud of her children, and grandchildren. She would share their accomplishments with anyone who would listen. Mother cherished the close bond that we shared and looked forward to all family gatherings. She shares many special memories with so many families and friends. She enjoyed music like the Glenn Miller Band, Neil Diamond, anything with a good dance rhythm, she loved to dance with dad at weddings, reunions, parties and anywhere music played. She and dad instilled in us kids the importance of the family bond and the importance of family. We will ensure that this legacy continue for generations to come. It was our parents' wishes not to have a funeral but rather a "Celebration of Life" celebrating the lives of Jake and Pat Brewer. This celebration will take place on September 18, 2021 in Davison, Michigan 48423. Anyone interested in attending please call and leave a message at 541-206-2776.
