Macon, GA- Alana Wuolukka, 26, a heart filled with love and kindness behind a beautiful smile for all.
Whether at the school helping teachers and having lunch with her children, or planning surprise birthday parties to make everything in life special, her family was her life. She told everyone that she had the best family in the world. Mommy's little girl being the best little mommy she could. 'Smurf' to daddy, 'Papa's Girl', devoted mother to Caiden and Destiny, died on November 3, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Memorial services and a celebration of her life will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Shannon Back officiating. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends from 3 p.m. to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Alana was a native of Lizella and a graduate of West Side High School and Troy University. She was a member of Lizella Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Destiny Hughes of Lizella; Alana's parents, Michael and Lana Wuolukka of Lizella; fiancé, David Poole; brother/nephew, Wolf Hunter Uhl; maternal grandparents, Hewey and Vernice Smith; paternal grandmother, Ottilie Wuolukka; as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her sister Melissa Wuolukka in 2000.

Alana was a sweet and loving woman. We watched her grow up when she worked at New China. She was so proud of her children and came running up to us each time we saw her. Caiden and Destiny were wonderful children when we saw them. Destiny will be in our prayers as she continues to heal. May her mother and brother watch over her in all the days ahead.

When we learned what had happened we were in complete shock. Alana and Caiden had just been at our house
on Halloween evening so it didn't seem possible. We are so so sorry. Alana was a remarkable young woman who could light up a room with her incredible smile and kind heart. Alana was a good friend to Kristie all these years and I know how much she will
be missed because we loved her too. We are so thankful we had an opportunity to be apart of her life and be able to cherish those warm memories. We will continue to pray for Destiny and her speedy recovery and comfort and strength for Lana and Michael for the tough days ahead.

Me and alana went to westside together she picked me up and took me to school for a while then when we both lost our liscense,s we took defensive driving together she was a great person to be around she will be missed may god comfort you in this time

We find this hard to believe. We just met Alana & Caiden as well as Destiny and other family members and neighbors at our neighborhood fall festival a couple of weeks ago. They were so happy and friendly. It is true that we never know what moment might be our last. Alana obviously made the best of each day. She had such a beautiful smile and inner glow. She and Caiden will be with Destiny and the rest of your loving family every day through memories and in spirit. God will be close to you and help comfort and strengthen you. It was such an honor and privilege to know Alana and watch her grow up! We have many fond memories of Alana swimming from her dock to our dock to play with Carlyle and all the other "Lake" kids! They had a great childhood together building forts, fishing, and jumping off the dock ! Those memories will be cherished forever!

I was a cheerleader in 5th grade with Alana's sister, Melissa. I remember reading in the paper when she passed away and could hardly believe it. We had practice at their house and I remember Alana's hair was short and choppy. Her mother told us she had gotten ahold of some scissors and gave herself a haircut. She wasn't too happy about it. :) I think she was only 3 years old. As if losing one child wouldn't be hard enough! My prayers go out to the family that your hearts heal in time. God bless!
