I was with him the weekend before he passed in Chicago. I was probably the only person from Macon ,Ga to see him before he passed. We were friends since childhood and was also stationed together in the US Army.

Ben and I met 21 years ago on the job. We hit it off instantly and remained friends throughout the years. He was truly a good friend and will forever have a place in my heart. Rest well my friend until we meet again. To the family you have my deepest sympathy.

I will miss you so much my cousin. Growing up with you as my "brother" has been a joy. I now have the memories which I will hold on to. I love you so much! This is a hard pill to swallow! Coming to Chicago the other day to handle your business brought back memories to me.........the time we went downtown and toured the city. Auntie death was hard when we did the arrangements and now you......I type this with sadness in my heart! You was all I had and now you are gone! The last time we talked we ended our conversation by saying "I love you!" I know you would want me to big strong. Right now I'm not, but I'm praying that God gives me strength daily. I miss you! :-(
