Macon, GA- Bishop C. W. "Handy" Hancock, 91, of 5300 Zebulon Road, Macon, Georgia died Friday, March 13, 2015. Services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 5:00PM at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, Macon, Georgia. The Reverend Mike McAfee, Bishop James King, the Reverend Tommy Mason, and Dr. Marcus Tripp will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, and on Thursday from 4:00PM until 5:00PM in the Parlor at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 or to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, 719 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
Bishop Hancock was predeceased by his wife, Mariam Crawford Hancock, and his son, David Charles Hancock. He is survived by his children, Stephen Hancock (Janet) of Kemp, Texas, Susan Robinson (John) of Conyers, Georgia and Laura Osiecki (Paul) of Coppell, Texas; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hancock McDonald (Mike); eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

As a child in the Epworth Methodist Church in Savannah your father had a profound influence on my life during his tenure there in the mid 50's. I still remember one of his sermons given on Father's day when I was about 12 years old. You have such a wonderful legacy and so much for which to be proud.
