Carolyn Brown -MACON -Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn Shurling Brown, age 76, will be conducted Saturday, August 27, at 11A.M. in Williams White Columns Funeral Home of Gordon, with Rev. Sam Loyd and Rev. Max Patterson officiating. -The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday Evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. -Mrs. Brown passed away at her residence August 22, 2011. She was a native of Tennille, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James Lofton Shurling and the late Annie Maude Brown Shurling. Mrs. Brown is the widow of Gerald Brown and was preceded in death by a brother Billy Shurling. She lived most of her life in Wilkinson County moving to Macon in 1994. She retired from the Wilkinson County Telephone Company, worked for Dr. Davis in Irwinton for a number of years and was a member of Tatnall Square Baptist Church. -Survivors include her daughter, Joy (Pedro) Reynolds of McIntyre; sons, Mark (Lynette) Brown of Atlanta and Kevin (Candace) Brown of Macon; sisters, Betty Moore of Macon and Sylena (Everett) Brooks of Gordon; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. -In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Tatnall Square Baptist Church, 4925 Zebulon Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. -Express online condolences at www.whitecolumnsfh.net. -Williams Funeral Home of Gordon has charge of arrangements, 478-628-2200.
