Macon, Georgia - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deputy Christopher Wilson Knight. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 2:00PM at Macon City Auditorium located at 415 1st Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Reverend David L. Stanley will officiate. Interment Services will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving daughter, Zemirah Joy Knight; devoted mother, Cheryl Knight; father, Jason Washington and a host of other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home. The family is requesting everyone to please wear a face mask and follow CDC guidelines. Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services has charge of the arrangements.

It took me awhile to come here Chris! As it warms my heart to see what people say about you and to know they are still thinking of and praying for me, it´s still so hard to see your dash date! You were so young and still would be young having only turned 34yrs old had you lived! I can Only imagine what you would be doing now, happy with so much JOY :) at LuLu´s graduation from Kindergarten, giving Harrison advise on life now that he´s graduated from HS, and of course going to all the Summer #BlockBusters! I don´t know if you would still be an officer after what happened had you survived! That might would have changed your mind about it! I´m still so sorry that happened to you Chris and I pray God handles it and EVERYONE involved the best way HE Knows how! You´ve given account for it by losing your life, but I´m Glad you know God and yes I say know because to die does not mean you stop knowing Who He is and I Know without a doubt you are with him now! I will continue to help Bri with LuLu and LIVE in a way to make Her and God proud and be able to meet Him and see you again in Heaven! Missing you FOREVER Chris and NO it doesn´t get any easier, I just learn ways to cope better, like praying and little more and crying when I need to! Love you so much STILL! Ma

Hey Chris, I still can´t believe you have an obituary! My heart is Still so broken! I miss you more and more each day! I Never dreamed you´d leave me behind! This definitely can be and IS one of life´s unfair things! You should be here to see LuLu grow up, to Love and nurture her, and be her best friend as you where mine! I saw the bond you two had first hand! It made my heart so happy to watch you two together! One of the things I asked God the night he came to take you home was, "you´re taking him from his baby Lord?" I kept saying in my head what about his and LuLu´s relationship! His baby Lord! She needs him! But, ultimately we have to trust God and I know he knows and is in control of all of this! Moving forward I must conduct myself in a way to enter into heaven! I hope I have done a decent job so far in doing so! I want to meet Jesus and see you again Chris! I´m here for your LuLu though and I pray I can make a difference in her life like I tried to make In yours! I hope to be someone she admires and that she will remember and know how much she´s LOVED by your side of the family and was LOVED by you! Missing you dearly! Ma!

Christopher was special and I’m so happy for any and everyone who was blessed to meet and know him! I’m thankful for all the kind words from friends of his and mine, co-workers, teachers, and everyone! He was the Light of my life! I Loved him so much and he truly became my #BestFriend when he became an adult! It’s your prayers...cont prayers that are helping me along each days ups and downs roller coaster of emotions back to the path of a new norm that I don’t want to embrace but know I have to for his Daughter Zemirah a.k. a LuLu as he so affectionately called her! I will be strong again soon for her as she brings me so much joy my Zemirah Joy Knight! Thank you so much for thinking of Us, loving Us, and supporting Us in this difficult time! You could not have asked for a more loving, respectful and mannerable son, than Chris. You did a fine job raising him. I loved working with him and seeing him come around when he was a transporter. He had the biggest smile and the heartiest of laughs. Always a kind word to say and loved his daughter so very much. Cheryl, God bless you and keep you always. May He give you peace.

I don’t know you, and that does not matter. I did not know your beloved Christopher. I DO know he was (and remains) a Child of God. I want to thank you for Christopher’s service to our community. Chris was one of my most respectful, dedicated and genuine students while at W. S. Hutchings Career Center. He always had a smile on his face. He was a very good student and always reliable. It did not matter wherever Chris saw me, he always said, “Hello Mrs. Stokes,” gave me a hug and talked with me. Chris was a model for other young men to follow and he will truly be missed. I want Chris’ family to find comfort in knowing what a gift he was to the world.

My deepest condolences to CK and the Knight family for your loss ! I remember conversating with Chris and saying how proud his mother was that he joined the sheriff dept. along with telling him how much his mother loves him. He smiled and said he felt that he made a great choice. Chris loved his job and felt a sense of accomplishment and pride. He had a pleasant and genuine disposition along with heightened positivity. Chris was a young man that was humble and respectful to all he encountered. He will truly be missed dearly. May God embrace you all during your time of bereavement !!!
